The Network of Independent Canadian Exhibitors (NICE) was delighted to participate in this year’s jam-packed and exciting ShowCanada, the premiere annual conference dedicated to Canadian film exhibition.
The night before the conference kicked off, NICE threw our third annual Indie Cinema Mixer, generously supported by our partners at xenon lamp manufacturers LTI, cloud-based cinema software Veezi and movie and series channel package Hollywood Suite.
Hosted by the team at NICE member Capitol 6 Theatres, this year’s Indie Cinema Mixer was the perfect way to settle in to the packed week ahead.
Capitol 6’s gorgeous lobby—complete with their towering fiddle leaf fig tree—provided a wonderful backdrop for cinema operators to reconnect and forge new relationships over drinks and pizza.
Behind every favourite cinema are dedicated teams of film lovers who make the magic happen, and it was incredible to see so many of these passionate professionals gathered in one place.
From Powell River’s historic Patricia Theatre to Charlottetown’s brand-new Tivoli Cinema, exhibitors across the country came together to celebrate what we do best: bringing film to our communities.
NICE thanks ShowCanada for again hosting us at their annual trade show. It was a great opportunity to meet and catch up with our partners across the industry—and to share buttons, brochures and fun indie cinema Connections puzzles!
