The Network of Independent Canadian Exhibitors (NICE) was delighted to participate in this year’s ShowCanada, the premiere annual conference dedicated to Canadian film exhibition.

The night before the conference kicked off, NICE threw an Indie Cinema Mixer, generously supported by our partners at Front Row Insurance. It was a wonderful evening of drinks, pizza and long-overdue in-person connections. All conference attendees were invited to attend, and NICE buttons were excitedly shared.

Throughout the conference, we met all sorts of independent exhibitors: From a drive-in operated by a local Lion’s Club, to an atmospheric cinema located in the middle of a national park!

NICE thanks ShowCanada for hosting us at their annual trade show. It was a great opportunity to meet and catch up with our partners across the industry—and to share some buttons, brochures and fun indie cinema crossword puzzles!

We love independent cinema and all the moving parts and partners that make it happen. Thank you to the folks we reconnected with and met for the first time at ShowCanada 2024. Cinema is for people, by people.
